Existing timelines, journals, attachments and secondary links stay accessible. Active and archived read-only rules still apply.
Backups stay included
Full backup and restore remain Free. Restoring an archived timeline is a separate Pro feature.
Files you already exported
Existing PDF and CSV files stay yours. Pro is needed to generate new ones.
Above 3 timelines on Free? Keep your existing data; new timelines require space or Pro.
Saved custom themes are kept. The app returns to a system theme when Pro ends.
Free can retain or remove an existing secondary link, but cannot add or replace one.
A few things worth knowing
Questions, answered.
Do I need Pro to follow the timeline method?
No. You can focus a timeline, write entries, add attachments and use all current Stats with Free. Start with one meaningful timeline and the rhythm that suits you.
Are timeline limits and Today shortcuts the same?
No. Free can keep up to 3 user timelines, with 1 directly usable Today shortcut. Pro has no membership-level timeline limit and 3 Today shortcuts. Both plans show at most 3 entries on Today.
Does archiving make room on the Free plan?
No. Archived user timelines count toward the Free limit. Archiving and restoring an archived timeline are Pro features. On Free, making room for a new timeline requires confirmed permanent deletion, or restoring Pro access.
Permanent deletion is different from archiving. Read the app’s confirmation to understand how related journals and attachments will be handled.
What happens to my records if Pro ends?
Your existing records are not automatically deleted, hidden or archived. If you have more than 3 timelines, they remain; you cannot create another until you have room or restore Pro. Archived content follows its existing read-only rules.
Can I still recover my data with Free?
Yes. Existing iCloud sync, automatic and manual backups, full backup imports and safety recovery remain Free. Restoring a backup replaces current data and first creates a safety backup. Restoring a single archived timeline is a different Pro operation.
Are adding photos and photo-inspired themes different?
Yes. Adding photos to journal entries remains Free. Pro lets you extract a color palette from a photo and save or apply a custom theme. Color extraction happens on your device.
What happens to a secondary link when Pro ends?
The existing link and its history remain. Free can keep the link while editing other content, or remove it. Adding or replacing a secondary link requires Pro.
How do I get help or share feedback?
Write to [email protected]. Tell me which screen you were using and what you expected to happen. Please leave private journal content out of your message unless it is needed and you choose to share it.
