1. About these terms
D·Diary is developed and provided by Gongming Liu. These terms explain the use of D·Diary and its optional Pro features. By using the app, you agree to these terms, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the app.
The license for the App Store version is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms supplement that license with information about D·Diary. They do not replace the Standard EULA or limit rights that cannot legally be excluded. Apple's terms also apply to Apple services you use.
2. Your journal and responsible use
You retain ownership of the journal entries, timelines, photos, recordings, videos, and other content you create or import. D·Diary uses that content to provide the features you choose, including storage, synchronization, backup, and export. These terms do not grant us ownership of your journal or permission to use it for advertising.
Only add content you have the right to use. Respect other people's privacy and intellectual property, including when recording or sharing media. Do not use the app for unlawful activity, to harm others, or to interfere with the app or Apple services.
D·Diary is a personal journaling tool. Insights, historical content, dates, and maps are provided for general information and reflection, and may contain errors. They are not professional advice or a substitute for emergency services.
3. Free features and D·Diary Pro
D·Diary offers free features and optional Pro access. Available plans include a monthly auto-renewing subscription, a six-month auto-renewing subscription, and Lifetime Pro as a one-time, non-consumable purchase. Availability and the current features, price, currency, and billing period are shown in the app and Apple's purchase confirmation before you buy.
Lifetime Pro has no recurring subscription charge. It unlocks the Pro entitlement without a scheduled expiration, subject to the purchase remaining valid. It does not promise perpetual availability of Apple services, support for every future device, or access to separate future products.
4. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account using the terms shown at checkout. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew for their selected billing period unless cancelled before renewal. To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Any introductory or promotional offer is subject to the eligibility, duration, and renewal terms shown by Apple.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting D·Diary does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewals, with access continuing until the paid period ends, unless Apple applies a refund, revocation, or another adjustment.
Use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Refund requests are handled through Apple's billing and refund support, subject to Apple's policies and applicable law. We do not receive your payment card details or Apple Account password. Promotional codes are redeemed and verified by Apple and follow the offer's terms.
5. iCloud, backups, and availability
Core journal content is stored on your device. iCloud synchronization and iCloud Drive backups depend on your Apple Account, device settings, available storage, network access, and Apple services. Synchronization and backups can be delayed or interrupted and are not a guarantee against data loss.
Keep copies of important information. Review the destination before exporting or sharing a file. Deleting an entry does not automatically remove older backups, exported files, or media saved to Photos. Restoring a backup can replace current app data; review the app's restore confirmation carefully.
We may improve or change the app over time. Some functionality depends on compatible devices, operating systems, or third-party services. Where a change materially affects an active paid entitlement, applicable consumer rights and Apple's remedies continue to apply.
6. Privacy
The Privacy Policy available in App Settings explains how content, permissions, purchases, backups, and support messages are handled. Please read it before using features that store or share personal information.
7. Warranties and responsibility
We aim to provide a reliable app but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or that all data can always be recovered. Warranty and liability provisions in Apple's Standard EULA apply to the licensed app. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You may stop using the app at any time. Ending use does not itself cancel an Apple subscription or delete separately stored iCloud data, backups, or exports.
8. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms as features or requirements change. Updated text will be available in the app with a revised Last updated date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes when required by applicable law. Changes do not remove rights already accrued under applicable law.
